Medical Care & Exams

Puppy/Kitten Visits

Special visits geared toward these youngsters include a puppy or kitten pack that explains what vaccinations your new pet will be getting and will need in the future. It also has brochures on training tips as well as emergency contact numbers.

Wellness Exams

Our veterinarians examine your pet beginning with vital statistics such as heart rate, breathing rate, temperature and beginning at the head, work from the tip of your pet’s nose to the tip of the tail examining all external parts as well as using special instruments to examine the eyes, ears, heart, and lungs.

Senior Care

As your pets get older, they start to develop age-specific problems. We offer senior blood work, special joint supplements, and special diets along with several other services to keep our senior patients happy, healthy and back to see us for as many years as possible.

Pain Management

Our goal is to keep our patients here and at home as comfortable as possible. We have many types of pain management medications used for joint discomfort, post-surgical pain, and long-term pain control.

Microchipping

One in three pets will get lost. Without microchipping, 90% won’t make it home. Hight Veterinary Hospital offers microchipping at 44% off our regular price when a dog is spayed or neutered here. We also offer the ISO or international microchip for those traveling abroad with their pet.

Behavior Consultations

A pet’s behavior may change for a variety of reasons or for no reason. A new family member, a recent move or the relocation of a litter box can all trigger abnormal behaviors. Our doctors are available to speak with you about how best to modify unwanted behaviors and restore the bond between you and your best friend.

Routine Vaccinations

We carry a full line of both dog and cat vaccinations.

Health (Travel) Certificates

If you are traveling with your pet, you sometimes are required to have a health certificate, stating that your pet is healthy enough for travel. We offer this documentation for both Domestic and International travel. Please call us for fees.

For international travel, it is very important to schedule a health certificate visit early (as soon as you know you will be traveling) to avoid potential additional quarantine or changes by some countries.
