Welcome

Located in the University Area or UNCC area of Charlotte, N.C., Hight Veterinary Hospital has had the privilege of serving and caring for your pets and companions for over 20 years. As a family owned association, we strive for excellence in both animal medicine and client relationships. We proudly offer a variety of medical, surgical, and daily care services for your dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. We also offer many modern services which set us apart from the average veterinary hospital and allow us to provide you and your pets with the most loving and effective healthcare possible.

Light Rail Construction Update: Construction has completed and our original U-Turn is back open.  Traveling uphill, southbound, on N. Tryon St. you can also U-Turn at the left turn light at Institute Circle (in front of Chipotle).

Jerky Treat Kidney Damage: We have seen an increase in patients with kidney damage from being fed Jerky Treats.  Do not feed any Jerky Treats (Jerky or dried meat).  If your pet has eaten Jerky Treats contact us for blood and urine tests for kidney damage.  We have not seen kidney problems from rawhide alone but have seen kidney damage from rawhide twisted around jerky.  For a number of years, the FDA has been investigating cases of kidney damage, including death in some cases.  They cannot recall these products since they have not been able to prove a specific cause.  Dangerous products a being sold currently.
