Dr. Hight is originally from Hickory, North Carolina. He attended North Carolina State University as an undergraduate in Zoology and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. From 1989 through 1995 he practiced as a small animal veterinarian at Boulevard Animal Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. He and his family relocated to the Charlotte area in 1995 to form Hight Veterinary Hospital, PA. During the initial planning and early construction, Dr. Hight worked part time as a small animal veterinarian in Huntersville. He has been practicing at Hight Veterinary Hospital since its opening in May 1997.

Dr. White is originally from Hickory, North Carolina as well. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then attended the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in June 2002. After graduation, Dr. White moved closer to home and began working at a small animal practice in south Charlotte. Dr. White joined Hight Veterinary Hospital, PA in June 2003.
